Citrine

Citrine is the yellow-to-orange variety of quartz and, at Mohs 7, is hard enough for everyday rings and jewelry with normal care. Natural citrine is rare, so most on the market is heat-treated amethyst or smoky quartz — a stable, standard, disclosed practice.
