Some of the pieces that define Delafuente began long before there was a store.
A second engagement ring at 70.
A ring designed to hold an entire family.
A friendship ring created at the moment two lives moved in different directions.
Matching pendants for twin sisters.
Over time, these moments became something others wanted to be part of.
Delafuente developed through a hands-on approach to making jewelry — not just designing it, but understanding how it is built, how it wears, and how it holds over time.
That process was later refined through formal gemological training at the Gemological Institute of America, including laboratory work in Bangkok, where the study and grading of diamonds led to the GIA Graduate Diamonds diploma.
Working directly with stones in this environment shaped a more precise approach to materials — how they behave, how they wear, and how they should be set.
Working closely with natural gemstones revealed their complexity. Inclusions, variations, and irregularities are not flaws to eliminate, but characteristics that require better decisions during design and setting. While they are less common in commercial jewelry, their individuality gives each piece a distinct presence.
At the same time, not all materials align with the same values.
Delafuente focuses primarily on lab-grown diamonds. Their conflict-free origin and transparency are not just advantages — they are the standard the brand chooses to work with. Natural diamonds are not a focus.
Delafuente does not work with pearls, as their production relies on animal intervention that does not align with the brand’s approach to materials.
From the beginning, the process has remained highly personal. Today, most pieces are still manufactured directly, maintaining control over how each design is built and how it will hold over time.
Delafuente remains defined by that approach — precise, considered, and close to the materials behind each piece.
